About the Role

BDO is seeking a passionate and proactive People & Culture Adviser to join our Canberra team. This is a true generalist role, with a strong focus on supporting our team members and partnering with Leaders to deliver strategic people initiatives across the firm.

You will play a key role in fostering a supportive and inclusive working environment, contributing to employee engagement, retention, and growth, while helping shape a values driven, high performance culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with employees and leaders to identify and address challenges, support career development, and enhance engagement and retention
  • Provide operational advice on people matters including performance, conduct, and employee relations
  • Support the delivery of strategic initiatives such as remuneration reviews, career conversations, and engagement surveys
  • Collaborate on P&C projects and change management activities
  • Champion inclusion, diversity, wellbeing, and WHS initiatives
  • Assist with reporting and data analysis
  • Lead Talent Acquisition activities by running end to end recruitment processes, attending early careers events and facilitating assessment centres
About You
  • 2-3+ years’ experience in a similar generalist P&C role
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Psychology or a related discipline is desirable
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Foundational knowledge of employment law, HR policies and best practices processes
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement
  • Workday experience is advantageous
