Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District is seeking a Paediatric Nursing Assistant in the Royal North Shore Hospital paediatric unit. This permanent part-time position offers 16 hours per week and a welcoming, supportive team focused on family-centred care.

The role requires enrolment in nursing studies or completion of eligible nursing certificates, with strong communication and teamwork skills to support children aged 0–17 across medical, surgical and other services.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or degree deemed appropriate; or current enrolment in Diploma of Nursing (HLT54121) with evidence of completion of Block 1; or completion of HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care).
• Demonstrated, effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
