Job summary

ELMO Software Pty Ltd is seeking a Payroll UAT Specialist to join our Services team. You will bridge technical configuration and real-world payroll outcomes, ensuring our Rotageek award builds align with Australian modern awards.

You will drive SME-led UAT, validate ordinary hours, penalties, overtime and allowances, document discrepancies, and collaborate with product and technical stakeholders to deliver accurate award outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in payroll processing, implementation, consulting, or support.
• Strong understanding of Australian payroll concepts and modern award interpretation.
• Experience with UAT, system integration testing, or payroll parallel testing.
• Ability to execute structured test scenarios and communicate findings clearly.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

• Drive UAT for Rotageek award builds across Australian modern awards.
• Validate payroll outcomes across ordinary hours, penalty rates, overtime, allowances, classifications, and minimum engagement rules.
• Identify, investigate, and document calculation discrepancies and configuration gaps.
• Collaborate with Solution Architect and SMEs to ensure testing continuity and timely award delivery.
• Help build reusable testing discipline for future scaling.

ELMO is looking for a dedicated Payroll UAT Specialist to join our Services team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our award builds. You will bridge the gap between technical configuration and real-world payroll outcomes, ensuring our solutions perform exactly as intended for our customers.What you’ll be doing

As a key member of our team, you will:

• Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT):Perform SME-led testing for Rotageek award builds across a variety of Australian modern awards.
• Validate Outcomes:Confirm payroll accuracy across ordinary hours, penalty rates, overtime, allowances, classifications, and minimum engagement rules.
• Defect Management:Identify, investigate, and clearly document calculation discrepancies and configuration gaps.
• Collaborate:Partner with our Solution Architect and internal subject matter experts to ensure testing continuity and smooth award delivery.
• Build Expertise:Help create reusable testing discipline and knowledge to support our future scaling.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you bring

• Proven Experience:A background in payroll processing, implementation, consulting, or support.
• Payroll Knowledge:A strong understanding of Australian payroll concepts and modern award interpretation.
• Technical Aptitude:Experience with UAT, system integration testing, or payroll parallel testing. Experience with Rotageek or Employment Hero Payroll is a plus.
• Analytical Mindset:Ability to execute structured test scenarios and communicate findings clearly.
• Collaborative Spirit:Comfortable working independently while maintaining strong relationships with product and technical stakeholders.
