Job summary

Spinifex Recruiting seeks a Payroll Officer to join our Byron Bay team. You will ensure accurate, timely payroll processing for a large temporary workforce across NSW Councils, mining sites and government sectors, working from our Byron Bay office.

Candidates with strong admin, HR, finance or customer service backgrounds who show attention to detail and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Local government partnerships are a key focus of our growing business.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and efficiently across multiple client organisations.
• Maintain payroll records and employee information.
• Respond to payroll-related enquiries from employees and clients.
• Work across several systems and platforms with confidence.
• Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliation activities.
• Interpret awards and enterprise agreements where required.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and system efficiencies.
• Collaborate with recruitment consultants, candidates and clients.
