Job summary

AstraZeneca Australia is seeking an experienced ANZ payroll practitioner to partner with local and overseas teams, delivering accurate payroll support and ongoing process improvements from our North Ryde head office. This hybrid role requires collaboration with HR, Finance and global service teams to enhance the overall employee experience.

You will manage payroll queries efficiently, apply AU/NZ regulatory knowledge, and drive system enhancements using Workday, ADP and SAP to ensure seamless

What you’ll do

• Partner with our overseas payroll teams and local employees to manage payroll queries in a timely and efficient manner, with a strong focus on service excellence and continuous improvement.
• Provide trusted ANZ payroll expertise, ensuring employees and stakeholders receive accurate, clear and practical support.
• Build strong partnerships with ADP, HR, Finance and global service teams to deliver an effective and connected payroll experience.
• Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve ways of working and enhance the overall employee experience.
• Contribute to HR Services projects, system enhancements and knowledge sharing to build capability and drive continuous improvement.

Essential for the role

• Strong knowledge of Australian and New Zealand payroll operations, legislation and statutory requirements.
• Hands-on experience with Workday, ADP Payroll solutions and SAP leave and payroll.
• Strong analytical capability and a solutions-focused mindset.
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach to partnering across HR, Finance, vendors and business teams.
• Strong ownership and accountability, with the ability to drive projects and system enhancements through to resolution.
