Job summary

Sharp & Carter is partnering with a leading Australian organisation to recruit a detail oriented Rates Analyst for the Payroll team in Victoria. This temporary role with a view to permanency offers an immediate start and hybrid working.

You will maintain pay rates and allowances, coordinate remuneration reviews, perform audits, and deliver payroll insights. The ideal candidate has SAP Payroll or similar systems, advanced Excel skills, and excellent attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in Payroll, Rates Administration, Remuneration, Payroll Systems, or a similar analytical role.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and remuneration.
• Experience working with SAP Payroll, HR systems, or similar enterprise platforms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage employee pay rates, allowances, and remuneration data across payroll systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
• Coordinate annual remuneration reviews, EBA wage increases, and other rate-related changes across the business.
• Conduct audits and reconciliations of rates, superannuation, allowances, and payroll-related data to ensure compliance and minimise risk.
• Deliver reporting, analysis, and insights on remuneration structures, rate changes, and payroll data.
• Support payroll governance, testing, process improvement initiatives, and system enhancements.
