Job summary

HPX Group is seeking a Payroll & Operations Manager to take ownership of our in-house payroll function and lead broader People operations. You will collaborate with People and Finance, oversee payroll data integrity, and drive improvements across systems and processes for a fast-growing, people-centric professional services group.

You will manage the Payroll Specialist, ensure timely payroll cycles, and contribute to HR projects while upholding privacy and regulatory requirements in

Qualifications

• Experience managing end-to-end payroll in-house across a multi-site group.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, tax and superannuation.
• Experience delivering People/HR operations projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day in-house payroll across the Group, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Lead People operations with onboarding/offboarding, changes and remuneration processes.
• Manage the Payroll Specialist with clear priorities and coaching.
• Deliver payroll reporting, regulatory submissions and data integrity.
• Identify improvements to payroll processes, systems and controls and drive projects.
