Mercy Health Australia is seeking a Payroll Officer to join our payroll team in Richmond. The role focuses on accurately processing all payroll fortnightly for 2000+ employees and maintaining records within our payroll system.

You will work closely with HR and finance to ensure compliance with regulations, resolve staff queries, and interpret applicable Awards. Evidence of a Police Record Check is required.

About the opportunity

As a Payroll Officer, you will work in our friendly and supportive payroll team and be responsible for accurately processing and managing payroll fortnightly. You will work closely with our HR & finance team to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and provide exceptional service to our staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately process end-to-end payroll for 2000+ employees on a fortnightly basis.
• Maintain and update employee records in Payroll system.
• Handle payroll-related queries from employees and provide timely resolution.
• Prepare reconciliations for leave balances and backpays.
• Collaborate with HR and finance teams to streamline payroll processes and enhance accuracy.
• Interpret complex EBA's and Awards
• Process terminations.
