News Corp Australia is seeking an ambitious payroll professional to manage end-to-end payroll for weekly and monthly runs within a large corporate setting. You will interpret EBA’s and awards, handle new starts and terminations, and support payroll tax matters.

You will maintain payroll records, resolve queries, and contribute to process improvements in a hybrid, Sydney-based environment. Strong Excel skills and experience with Dayforce/Workday are highly valued.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll processing experience in a large organisation.
• Proven ability with Excel and data analysis.
• Experience interpreting EBA's and modern awards.
• Experience with Dayforce and Workday is highly desirable.
• Detail-oriented and proactive with strong interpersonal skills.

You’re an ambitious and capable Payroll professional with experience within a large organisation. Here you'll be responsible for the end to end payroll processing on a monthly and weekly basis, including the interpretation of EBA's and awards, new starters and terminations, payroll tax and everything in between.

Review and submission of weekly and monthly pay run

Maintain, update, and verify payroll records, including new hires, terminations, rate changes, and deductions.

Investigate and resolve incoming customer queries

SOX compliance process to ad hoc improvement projects

Who are you?

Previous payroll experience ideally in a large corporate environment in Australia

Proven Excel ability and technologically savvy

Experience using Dayforce and Workday is highly desirable

Detail-oriented, proactive and enthusiastic

Possess excellent interpersonal skills, allowing you to explain complex payroll matters to employees with patience and clarity.

Ability to meet deadlines and contribute to company accounting initiatives

Experienced in running diverse and complicated pay runs that have to adhere to modern awards and EBA’s
