The Organisation

This well-established not-for-profit organisation provides essential services to individuals with disability across multiple states within Australia. With a strong reputation in the sector, they are committed to creating inclusive communities and empowering people to thrive. The organisation is undergoing exciting change and is looking for a seasoned payroll leader to support this.

Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance and leading a team of 6 direct reports, 10 indirect, your role will involve but not be limited to the following:

  • Managing payroll compliance, processing, and reporting
  • Overseeing deductions, salary packaging, and government reporting
  • Leading audits, reconciliations, and WorkCover payments
  • Driving continuous improvement and system optimisation
  • Partnering with internal stakeholders across Finance, People & Culture, and ICT
  • Mentoring and developing payroll team members

Candidate Profile

To be successful in this role, you will possess the following:

  • Experience with Preceda (Dayforce a bonus)
  • Knowledge of relevant Awards, EBAs, and legislation
  • High attention to detail and analytical capability
  • A collaborative and strategic mindset
