u&u Recruitment Partners is seeking an experienced employment tax professional for a 12-month fixed-term contract based in North Ryde, Sydney. The role focuses on reviewing taxation and compliance of employee payments within a large, complex payroll environment, working across payroll, finance, tax and HR to identify risks and implement sustainable treatments.
The role offers hybrid work with two days from home.
Our client is a large, established organisation with a significant Australian footprint and a complex payroll environment. With an important compliance project underway, they are looking to add specialist employment tax capability to a broader team spanning payroll, finance, tax, HR and related functions.
This 12-month fixed-term contract is suited to an experienced employment tax professional who enjoys getting into the detail, solving complex problems and using their technical knowledge to solve real payroll and tax challenges. Based in North Ryde, you will join a specialist project focused on reviewing the taxation and compliance of employee payments. Rather than sitting purely within an advisory capacity, you will work across the business to understand how payments are being applied in practice, identify areas of risk and help establish appropriate and sustainable treatment going forward. You will be reporting directly to the Project Lead and enjoy hybrid 2 days working from home.
If you’re an experienced employment tax or payroll compliance specialist looking to apply your technical expertise within a complex, high-impact project, we’d love to hear from you.
You are likely an experienced employment tax, payroll tax or payroll compliance professional who has worked within a complex corporate or advisory environment. You enjoy technical work but can also step back and consider how recommendations will work operationally. Importantly, you can communicate confidently with stakeholders outside of tax and explain complex issues in a straightforward way. Experience gained within a Big 4, specialist tax practice, or large corporate environment would translate well into this opportunity.
