Job summary

Hunter Douglas Australia is seeking an experienced Payroll Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for payroll accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting and workforce cost analysis.

Working closely with our Finance, Payroll and HR teams, the role will ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial and workforce information while supporting effective financial planning, compliance and business decision-making.

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years' experience in accounting, payroll accounting or financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll and statutory requirements.
• Experience preparing reconciliations, journals, accruals and provisions.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills and handling large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Oversee payroll accounting activities with accurate recording and reporting.
• Prepare payroll journals, reconciliations, accruals and provisions.
• Reconcile payroll liabilities against general ledger.
• Prepare payroll-related financial reports for month-end and year-end.
• Support workforce cost budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
