Job summary

Cognizant Australia is seeking a Payment Terminal Automation Engineer to ensure reliability, security, and performance of POS terminals, terminal management platforms, and core payment switch integrations. You will join the Quality Assurance / In-Person Payments team and collaborate with engineers to modernize QA practices across payment domain testing and automation tooling.

The role requires hands-on QA in payments, deep knowledge of ISO 8583/AS2805, API testing with Postman and Playwright

Qualifications

Hands-on QA engineering background in payments and terminal testing.
Deep expertise in ISO 8583 and AS2805 message structures.
Experience with end-to-end POS transaction flows and EMV kernel behavior.
Strong SQL skills and ability to analyze logs and terminal debug data.

Responsibilities

Execute end-to-end testing across physical and smart Android payment terminals.
Validate POS purchase flows, terminal kernel behavior, and full transaction processing.
Parse and validate payment messages against ISO 8583 and AS2805 standards.
Design, automate, and execute REST/SOAP API test suites using Postman and Newman; build scalable Playwright automation for UI and API integrations.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) for continuous regression testing across terminal and host release cycles.
