Job summary

St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital in Brisbane is seeking a Ward Orderly to support safe and efficient patient movement across wards, theatres and ICU, working with nursing and clinical teams. The role is casual, with shifts across mornings, afternoons and weekends.

You will assist with patient transfers, repositioning and the handling of beds and equipment while maintaining patient dignity and infection-control standards.

Qualifications

• Supports safe and efficient movement of patients throughout the hospital.
• Maintains patient dignity, privacy and comfort.
• Works closely with nursing and clinical teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safe transport and transfer of patients between wards, theatres, ICU and other areas
• Support repositioning and mobilisation of patients
• Handle beds, wheelchairs and equipment as required
• Follow infection control guidelines and safe manual handling practices
• Contribute to a clean, safe hospital environment
