Job summary

The Maitland Hospital in New South Wales is seeking a dedicated Wardsperson to join a skilled operations team on a casual basis. You will support patients, clinical staff and the wider care team to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

You will transport patients, assist with hygiene, move equipment and respond to emergencies with professionalism. Full training and ongoing support will be provided from day one.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with patients, families and staff.
• Reliability and trustworthiness in daily tasks.
• Integrity, respect and professionalism in the workplace.
• Availability to work on a 7-day rotating roster.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients between wards, theatres and departments.
• Assist with patient hygiene and contribute to a clean, safe environment.
• Move equipment and supplies across departments as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and incidents with urgency and professionalism.
• Follow proactive practices to improve patient experiences and care delivery.
• Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
