Job summary

UnitingCare Buderim Private Hospital is seeking a Patient Services Assistant - Housekeeping for a casual position on the Sunshine Coast. You will perform cleaning duties across patient rooms, wards, theatres and procedural areas, using industrial cleaning equipment to maintain safe, hygienic environments.

The role requires flexibility to cover mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends, plus adherence to infection control guidelines and health precautions.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Cleaner/Housekeeping person or in a hospital/nursing environment.
  • Knowledge of infection control guidelines and standard health precautions.
  • Willingness to obtain required vaccinations in line with hospital infection control requirements, and to undergo national criminal history check and functional assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a housekeeping/cleaning service within the hospital environment. Clean, maintain, store or retrieve equipment in the work area as requested.
  • Conduct quality cleaning in patient rooms, wards, offices, theatres and procedural areas using industrial level cleaning equipment.
  • Join a large 24/7 team to support the facility and help keep patients, visitors and staff safe.
  • Demonstrate safe work practices with infection control and health precautions.

You will work with industrial level cleaning equipment, ensuring safe and hygienic environmental services are provided to the hospital.
