Fresenius Medical Care invites applications for an Office Patient Assistant in our Dialysis Center in Yorke. You will provide reception and administrative support, assisting nursing staff with non-clinical patient care while ensuring a compassionate and efficient clinic environment for patients and families.

This role emphasizes high-quality clerical work, coordination of patient transport, and active participation in quality improvement initiatives within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of Infection Control / Hygiene principles and implementation of this knowledge into daily practice
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to operate within a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety as it relates to the role within the facility
• Understanding of the Quality improvement process and risk management obligations
• Demonstrated skills in food preparation and presentation
• Office skills, including filing and answering telephone enquiries

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality reception and secretarial services to patients and staff in the clinic.
• Support nursing staff in the dialysis clinic with non-clinical duties related to patient care.
• Perform general clerical tasks: filing, minute taking, agenda creation.
• Manage petty cash dispersal and reconciliation.
• Maintain levels of and order general office supplies; coordinate bookings and patient transport.
• Assist with the quality improvement program and patient communications.
• Create and maintain patient newsletters and other administrative tasks.
