Job summary

Brimbank City Council's Brimbank Learning Futures in Sunshine seeks a Pathways and Programs Officer to co-design learning programs with community groups and empower individuals in their vocational journeys.

Reporting to the Pathways and Employment Lead, you will support daily operations, build stakeholder relationships, and provide career information while helping deliver the Local Jobs Local People – Youth Stream. This is a temporary part-time role with hybrid working options.

Qualifications

• To be considered you will have a tertiary qualification in an area related to the position e.g. community development, education or relevant equivalent substantial experience.
• Community development, training or learning design experience
• Experience in providing career and learning pathway advice, training or programs
• Lived experience of the diverse communities in Brimbank
• Experience in working in a multicultural environment

Responsibilities

• Co-design learning programs with community groups
• Design and deliver programs aimed at empowering individuals in their vocational journeys
• Support the day-to-day operations of Brimbank Learning Futures
• Establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
• Provide training, career information and advice to community members
• Support the implementation of the Local Jobs Local People – Youth Stream
• Attract new learners to Brimbank Learning Futures
