Job summary

The University of Notre Dame Australia invites expressions of interest from academics to teach sessionally in the Pathways programs at Fremantle or Sydney campuses. The role supports the Tertiary Pathway Program and UniPath in Schools, delivering high-quality tutorials and assessments.

You will teach in Essential Maths, Research Skills, Academic Writing, and Human Biology across online and face-to-face modes, while providing pastoral care to students.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Teaching in university pathway programs and experience in enabling programs and first year courses.
• Ability to teach small tutorial groups and engage students in their learning.
• Ability to deliver teaching in multiple modes including online delivery.
• Commitment to ongoing scholarship and professional practice.
• Ability to incorporate technology into teaching and learning.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and teamwork.
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines in a busy educational environment.
• Evidence of pastoral care to students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct teaching to the standard of the Pathways programs with well-prepared tutorials.
• Consult with students on pre-tutorial tasks, weekly topics and assessments.
• Participate in assessment activities including marking and feedback within timeframes.
• Comply with Staff Code of Conduct and program policies.
• Undertake Professional Development as arranged by the National Director.
• Provide a high level of pastoral care to students.
