Job summary

University of Notre Dame Australia invites applications for a Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Pathological Sciences. Based in Sydney, this role coordinates Year 1–2 Pathology teaching within the MD program, collaborating across campuses to deliver an integrated biological sciences curriculum.

The successful candidate will lead curriculum resources, recruit and train tutors, and align assessments with learning outcomes while contributing to educational scholarship and student support

Qualifications

• Medical qualification registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship required.
• Experience teaching Pathology and related curricula.
• Experience across face-to-face, online, and blended delivery.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to student support and pastoral care.
• Interest in educational scholarship and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver Pathology teaching across the MD Foundation Years.
• Collaborate with curriculum, academic, and clinical teams to integrate Pathology learning.
• Maintain and enhance curriculum resources, ensuring they are current, evidence-based, and innovative.
• Support recruitment, training, and development of Pathology tutors and sessional educators.
• Partner with assessment and curriculum teams to align learning outcomes and assessments.
• Design, deliver, and mark formative and summative assessments.
• Deliver high-quality, engaging Pathology and BCS teaching.
• Drive continuous improvement through educational scholarship and evidence-based practice.
• Use student feedback and engagement data to enhance teaching and learning outcomes.
• Contribute to domain meetings, committees, and School activities.
• Represent the BCS Domain and support broader School and University initiatives.
