Job summary

The Central Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking an Operational Services Officer in Anatomical Pathology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital to provide practical laboratory and administrative support that keeps specimens and testing requests moving efficiently. Working alongside laboratory staff, your accuracy will support a reliable service for clinicians and patients.

You will receive and register specimens, enter data, retrieve and file slides and tissue blocks, and prepare cases for

Qualifications

• Organised and dependable with attention to detail.
• Comfortable with numeracy and data entry in busy environments.
• Hold a current driver’s licence and able to drive between sites.
• Experience with spreadsheets and databases is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Receive and register specimens and enter data.
• Retrieve and file slides and tissue blocks for cases.
• Prepare cases for multidisciplinary meetings.
• Assist with specimen processing, photography and digital slide scanning.
• Respond to enquiries and help maintain the laboratory.
• Deliver specimens and slides between sites.
