Job summary

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology in Auburn NSW is seeking Pathology Collectors to join our Patient Services Team. You will collect blood and non-blood samples from patients, label specimens accurately, guide patients on sampling procedures, and prepare specimens for transport to the laboratory.

The role offers a training program suitable for medical/health science students, allowing you to gain valuable clinical skills in a fast-paced, flexible environment.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
• National Police Check and Working with Children clearance and First Aid certificate required prior to commencement.

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology is an established and well-respected pathology practice offering comprehensive, high-quality pathology across NSW and north-west Victoria. Our practice is managed by doctors for doctors and our success is driven by the innate understanding that Medical Leadership facilitates the highest standards of professional and operational excellence for the doctors and patients we serve.

We are seeking enthusiastic Pathology Collectors , to join our vibrant Patient Services Team. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

• Collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients including conducting basic tests such as ECG and Holter Monitoring
• Following strict guidelines and procedures to ensure all samples are accurately labelled
• Guiding patients or caregivers on sampling procedures
• Preparing specimens for transportation to the laboratory

We offer a comprehensive training program suitable for medical/health science students wishing to gain valuable experience in a clinical environment whilst studying. You will learn high quality patient care and valuable clinical skills in a fast paced, flexible working environment.

Is open to working part time hours on a scheduled roster Monday to Sunday.
