Job summary

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology is seeking enthusiastic Pathology Collectors to join our Patient Services Team at North Shore Lower. You will collect blood and non-blood samples, conduct basic tests such as ECG and Holter monitoring, and ensure accurate labelling and handling of specimens.

The role offers a comprehensive training program for medical/health science students and requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week on a scheduled roster.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted working rights in Australia.
• Commitment to annual influenza vaccination.
• National Police Check, Working with Children clearance and First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and non-blood samples from patients, including basic tests such as ECG and Holter Monitoring.
• Follow strict guidelines to ensure samples are accurately labelled.
• Guide patients or caregivers on sampling procedures.
• Prepare specimens for transportation to the laboratory.
