Job summary

Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology is seeking enthusiastic Pathology Collectors to join our Patient Services Team. You will collect blood and non-blood samples, perform basic tests, label samples accurately, and guide patients on sampling procedures.

Training is provided in a fast-paced clinical environment with flexibility in scheduling. Prior to start, candidates must have Australian work rights and be committed to at least 20 hours per week, with a National Police Check, Working with Children

Qualifications

• Must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
• Commitment to a minimum 20 hours per week.
• First Aid qualification HLTAID011 is required prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and non-blood samples from patients.
• Conduct basic tests such as ECG and Holter Monitoring where applicable.
• Label samples accurately and follow procedures.
• Guide patients on sampling procedures and prepare specimens for transport.
