Job summary

Lawson Elliott Recruitment is seeking an Assistant Manager/Manager for a Penrith-based mid-sized Chartered Accounting firm with a clear pathway to Partnership. The role offers hands-on Partner access, international network connectivity and involvement in tax, SMSF, audit and financial planning services.

You will manage business services clients, review statements and tax returns, and lead and mentor a team while collaborating with Partners on complex matters and growth initiatives.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification.
• 4-8 years of experience in a reputable accounting firm.
• Degree in Accounting, Commerce or related field.
• Strong knowledge across tax and business services compliance.
• Experience reviewing work and leading or supervising a team.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of business services clients across a broad range of industries and entity types.
• Reviewing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts, partnerships and SMSFs.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients and building strong, long-term relationships.
• Providing tax planning and advisory services and identifying opportunities to add value.
• Supervising, mentoring and developing junior and intermediate team members.
• Managing workflow, deadlines and job budgets, and assisting with WIP and billing.
• Working closely with the Partners on complex client matters and practice growth.
