Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education’s Assisi Catholic College, Upper Coomera, seeks a passionate Pastoral Leader to foster student wellbeing, engagement and belonging within our College community. You will lead pastoral care, supervise staff, coordinate induction for new teachers, monitor holistic development, and organize camps and retreats, aligning with BCE's values and mission.

A strong background in Catholic education and school leadership is required, along with current teacher registration in

Qualifications

• Experience leading pastoral care in a Catholic school
• Ability to monitor holistic student development (academic, spiritual, social, health)
• Knowledge of behavior management to maintain safe, respectful learning environments
• Experience organising pastoral activities (camps, retreats, enrichment events)
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and sharing insights with staff

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in pastoral care for a designated group of students
• Supervise teachers involved in student pastoral care and provide guidance
• Facilitate induction for new teachers within the area of responsibility
• Monitor holistic development and address concerns with appropriate measures
• Coordinate staff efforts to align activities with the school ethos
• Manage student behaviour in line with school policies
• Organise pastoral activities such as camps and retreats
• Stay updated on best practices in student care and welfare
