Job summary

Merici College in Canberra is seeking a Pastoral and Transition Coordinator to support students and families as they transition through college life. The role involves leading transition initiatives, coordinating wellbeing programs and mentoring student leaders within a collaborative school community.

You will work with staff, feeder schools and community partners to foster an inclusive environment and smooth transitions, contributing to a positive educational experience for all students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Teaching/Education or Master of Teaching.
• Australian Capital Territory Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration.
• ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration.

Responsibilities

• Lead transition initiatives to support students and families as they integrate into College life.
• Coordinate wellbeing programs and monitor student engagement and welfare.
• Mentor student leaders and collaborate with staff, families and feeder schools.

About The Role

The Pastoral and Transition Coordinator is a key wellbeing and leadership position responsible for coordinating programs that support students and families as they transition into and through College life. Working collaboratively with staff, students, families, feeder schools and community partners, the successful applicant will lead transition initiatives, support student wellbeing and engagement, mentor student leaders, and contribute to a positive, inclusive and connected school community.
