  • Develop and monitor annual departmental goals and budget and take action when performance is off track.
  • Use financial and operational reporting to identify opportunities and make sound business decisions.
  • Ensure purchasing, receiving, inventory, sales orders, shipments, transfers, and other key activities are accurately completed and properly controlled.

  • Ensure the parts counter, stockroom, and warehouse remain safe, organized, and efficient.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and drive continuous improvement throughout the department.
Deliver an Exceptional Customer Experience
  • Build strong customer relationships through responsive, professional, and transparent communication.
  • Ensure customers receive accurate parts information, pricing, quotes, availability, and order updates.
  • Lead the resolution of escalated customer concerns, order discrepancies, and delivery issues.
  • Identify opportunities to grow parts sales, aftermarket revenue, and customer retention while maintaining pricing discipline and service standards.
Lead & Develop the Team
  • Lead, manage, coach, and develop Parts Department employees.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, development, and performance management.
  • Set clear expectations and provide ongoing feedback focused on productivity, accuracy, customer service, safety, sales, and accountability.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, customer service, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify development opportunities that strengthen employees’ product knowledge, operational capabilities, and leadership skills.
Partner Across the Business
  • Work closely with Service, Sales, Procurement, Accounting, Product Support Representatives, field personnel, and branch leadership.
  • Maintain productive relationships with manufacturers and suppliers related to pricing, availability, delivery, training, and parts programs.
  • Contribute to management discussions, business planning, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
