Diesel Australia PTY Ltd. is seeking a Part Time Parts Interpreter / Inventory Controller in Brisbane to manage parts, stock and inventory for workshop operations, ensuring accurate identification, sourcing and ordering to support repairs and maintenance.

The role requires strong mechanical parts knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with technicians, suppliers, customers and management.

Responsibilities

• Identify and interpret mechanical parts, components and consumables required for repairs, servicing and maintenance
• Assist technicians and workshop staff in identifying the correct parts for vehicles, machinery and equipment
• Use manufacturer catalogues, parts databases, online systems and supplier resources to identify parts
• Confirm part numbers, specifications and quantities before ordering
• Obtain pricing and availability from approved suppliers and place purchase orders
• Monitor outstanding orders and source parts promptly to meet workshop scheduling requirements
• Maintain accurate inventory records within the company's inventory/workshop management system
• Receive, check and process incoming stock against purchase orders and supplier invoices
• Conduct regular stocktakes and investigate discrepancies
• Work closely with mechanics and workshop supervisors to ensure parts are available when required
• Manage listings online and marketing
