Job summary

RZForex in Australia seeks a Partnerships Lead to build and grow commercial alliances driving customer acquisition, transaction volume and revenue across remittance and cross-border payments.

You will own the partnership lifecycle from market mapping and engagement through negotiations, onboarding and ongoing performance management, collaborating with Legal, Compliance and Operations to ensure robust risk and compliance frameworks.

Qualifications

  • Five or more years of experience in partnerships, business development, payments, remittance, foreign exchange, fintech or financial services.
  • Demonstrated ability to originate, negotiate, launch and grow commercially measurable partnerships.
  • Strong commercial judgement, financial literacy and ability to develop pricing and revenue models.
  • Working knowledge of Australian financial services, AML/CTF and cross-border payment environments.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, stakeholder management and contract negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently across cultures, time zones and multiple internal functions.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritise partners with established customer bases or payment flows, including banks, payment providers, fintech platforms, professional services firms, migration and education businesses, employers, industry bodies, community networks and trade-related organisations.
  • Develop partnerships supporting priority remittance corridors, initially including Nepal and potentially Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Korea and other Asia-Pacific markets.
  • Build B2B referral, distribution and solution partnerships for foreign exchange and cross-border payments, including opportunities involving local collection, payout, liquidity and on/off-ramp capabilities.
  • Maintain a disciplined partnership pipeline, prepare business cases and proposals, and lead commercial discussions in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, Treasury, Product and Operations.
  • Complete partner due diligence and ensure proposed arrangements meet AML/CTF, privacy, licensing, outsourcing and financial crime risk requirements.
  • Coordinate onboarding, technical and operational readiness, go-to-market activity and internal handover for new partnerships.
  • Set partner-level targets and review performance using customer acquisition, activation, transaction volume, revenue, margin and service-quality data.
  • Represent the Group at relevant industry, community and corridor events and provide management with competitor and market intelligence.

Preferred Experience
  • Existing networks in target migrant communities or Asia-Pacific payment corridors.
  • Experience with APIs, payment infrastructure, digital assets, stablecoins or fiat on/off-ramp solutions.
  • Additional language capability relevant to Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Korea, Japan or China.
Indicative Success Measures
  • Qualified partnership pipeline and conversion rate.
  • New customers and active users attributable to partners.

Partner-generated transaction volume, gross revenue and contribution margin.
