Job summary

Burgess Paluch in Melbourne is seeking a Partner or Special Counsel - Commercial, no client base required. You will contribute to the growth of the corporate/commercial group within a dynamic, successful firm.

You will work on sales and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructures, and other broad commercial contracts and governance for high-end clients, while mentoring junior lawyers and developing your own practice.

Qualifications

• Partner-level (or Special Counsel level) role in corporate and commercial law.
• No client base required at hire, with potential to inherit a full client base.
• Firm promotes on merit and encourages marketing and practice development internally.
• Experience handling high-end corporate and commercial work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deal with a mix of commercial and transactional work for high-end clients.
• Handle sales and acquisitions, joint ventures, restructures, projects, and other broad commercial contracts and governance work.
