Job summary

Boronia Park Public School invites applications for a part-time Teacher Librarian (0.8FTE). The role supports curriculum delivery and serves as a learning hub combining books and digital resources to boost reading, research and information literacy.

Demonstrated ability to engage diverse learners, collaboration with staff and participation in school activities, Book Week and Premier's Reading Challenge are valued. Unconditional teaching approval is needed.

Qualifications

• Approval to teach K-6 with a demonstrated ability to engage students through high quality, differentiated curriculum.
• Approval to teach primary library, or currently undertaking Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by NSW Department of Education, with the ability to evaluate, select, acquire, catalogue and maintain a diverse range of high-quality resources.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to build relationships among staff, students, parents and community.
• Demonstrated capacity to contribute to whole-school extracurricular programs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum via library data and programming to support literacy and numeracy.
• Lead weekly library lessons across classes and integrate digital resources with print collections.
• Support whole-school initiatives and partner with Parents and Citizens’ Association and School Council.
