Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education Office's St Mary’s School, Beaudesert, seeks a passionate Teacher Librarian to foster a love of reading, research and learning within a vibrant school community.

The role is 18 hours per week, part-time with permanent status. You will support curriculum delivery, collaborate with staff, and nurture student growth within a Catholic learning environment. Eligibility to work in Australia and current Queensland College of Teachers registration are required.

Qualifications

• Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
• Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing and ordered learning environment aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
• Collaboratively develop and implement quality curriculum programs and pedagogy; evaluate effectiveness; report progress to students, parents and the community.
• Work with the leadership team, teachers and staff to foster a positive school culture.
• Engage in professional learning to enhance student outcomes.
• Establish positive pastoral relationships supporting students' spiritual and moral development.
• Ensure that Catholic Church teachings underpin learning and teaching.
