Job description

Digital Garden is a Sydney-based digital agency, specialising in UX, web design, and Drupal development. We’re looking for an experienced UI conceptor to join our team on an ongoing contract basis.

The role

You’ll take fleshed-out wireframes and transform them into beautiful, engaging UI concepts for homepages and flexible content pages. You’ll also create motion and interaction storyboards so our developers can bring your concepts to life. These won’t just be static screens – you’ll define how elements move, transition, and respond for a polished, modern experience.

What we’re looking for

A standout portfolio of UI design examples for websites and digital products.

• Strong skills and attention to: Typography, colour theory, interaction design and image choice.
• Ability to create and expand design systems that scale across complex websites.
• Experience extending and evolving brand identities into engaging, flexible digital experiences.
• Experience storyboarding animations and micro-interactions (not animating, but able to communicate movement clearly).
• Strong collaboration skills to work with developers and project managers.
• This is not a UX role.
• Availability for flexible, ongoing contract work (6–10 days per month).
