Job summary

Western Sydney University’s School of Medicine invites applications for a Senior Lecturer in Oncology in Medicine, based at Liverpool Clinical School on a part-time basis.

You will deliver oncology teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, contribute to curriculum design, assessment and feedback, and supervise students while pursuing research leadership and clinical engagement with partner hospitals.

Qualifications

• Doctoral qualification or equivalent accreditation; PhD candidates considered.
• Current registration or eligibility with the Medical Board of Australia.
• Specialist training and consultant-level experience in Medical Oncology or Radiation Oncology.
• Strong track record of high-quality, high-impact research and funding potential.
• Experience in tertiary teaching, curriculum development and educational technologies.
• Collaborative approach across disciplines, professions and industry.
• Experience supervising high-calibre students and contributing to their development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
• Develop and deliver oncology teaching for Year 3 and contribute to Year 2 curriculum.
• Support student progression and graduate employability through curriculum design and feedback.
• Produce research outputs and contribute to knowledge in oncology.
• Contribute to clinical service delivery with partner hospitals and integrate teaching, research and practice.
