Firbank Grammar School in Melbourne is seeking a dedicated Science teacher for Term 1, 2027, on a fixed-term, part-time basis (0.89FTE) to cover a staff leave. The role covers up to Year 10 and includes mentoring a Tutor/Mentor Group as part of the Science Department.

You will work with the Head of Science to design innovative curriculum and implement current best teaching practices, contributing to department philosophy and leadership.

Qualifications

• Appropriate teaching qualification and current VIT registration.
• Proven experience teaching science at a secondary school level.
• Strong knowledge of curriculum design and innovative teaching practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the science curriculum with the Head of Department.
