Job summary

The NSW Department of Education is seeking a part-time School Psychologist (0.4 FTE) for Inverell High School in regional NSW. The role focuses on providing counselling and psychological assessments to students, collaborating with teachers and families to support learning and wellbeing.

The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary school counselling team, have access to supervision, professional development, and NSW public school benefits, including leave loading and superannuation

Qualifications

• Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (general or provisional).
• Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) – NSW.
• Current and valid driver’s licence; ability to travel between work sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling and psychological services to students, individually and in groups.
• Conduct cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments and report results.
• Collaborate with school staff, parents, carers and external agencies to support student wellbeing.
