NSW Department of Education is seeking a School Psychologist for Wee Waa High School in a full-time role. You will provide counselling and psychological assessments to students, collaborating with teachers to improve learning and wellbeing.

The role supports students across primary and high school levels, with supervision from the Senior Psychologist Education and participation in a multidisciplinary team. Rural incentives may apply for eligible postings.

Qualifications

• General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
• Valid Working with Children Check clearance – WWCC must be NSW.
• Current and valid driver’s licence and ability to travel between work sites.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

Responsabilités

• Provides counselling and psychological services to students, individually and in groups.
• Engages with and implements the procedures of the Professional Practice Framework.
• Works in consultation with the principal, staff and student support services.
• Contributes to the social, emotional, and academic development of students.
• Administers cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments and reports results.
• Collaborates with families, carers and external agencies for student health and wellbeing.
• Participates in supervision and broader school counselling team activities.
• Supports schools experiencing serious incidents.
