Job summary

Subway in Canberra is hiring Part-time Sandwich Artists to join several stores, starting as casual shifts with morning and evening schedules. No prior experience required; full training and University-style Subway courses provided.

Applicants should bring a positive attitude and be able to work well in a team, with a focus on friendly customer service and food safety. Roles include food preparation, cashier duties, stock monitoring, cleaning, and delivering a high standard of service.

Qualifications

• High school students (Year 9, 10, 11 and 12) are welcome to apply.
• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Previous experience in food preparation, retail sales and/or customer service is desirable but not essential.
• What’s more important is a winning attitude.

• Ensure food storage and preparation areas are maintained according to Health & Safety and Audit standards
• Comply with Food Code of Practice
• Till Operator
• Monitoring stock levels
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules
• Follow security & safety procedures
• Maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers
• Maintain high personal presentation in the provided uniform to meet the Subway brand and customer expectations
• Work as a team member
• Deliver a high standard of service when dealing with products, sales and catering for customer needs.

• We are looking for 10 new Part time team members.
• High school students (Year 9, 10, 11 and 12) are welcome to apply.

PART TIME Shifts Schedule:

• Morning staff
• Evening shift

Lots of room for growth and training provided.

Previous experience in food preparation, retail sales and/or customer service is desirable but not essential because you will receive full training and undertake various University of Subway® courses. What's more important is a winning attitude. If you're currently working in retail or in a restaurant, perhaps you are studying or have recently graduated and are looking to start a career in the food industry.
