Job summary

Subway Australia is hiring Sandwich Artists for a brand new Cooma store in NSW. We’re seeking 10 part-time team members with evening, day/lunch, and morning shifts, all supported by comprehensive training and career growth opportunities.

Previous experience is welcome but not essential; a winning attitude and customer-service focus are key. If you’re studying or seeking a start in food retail, this is an excellent entry point into the Subway system.

Qualifications

• High school students (Year 10–12) welcome to apply.
• Full training provided.
• Prior food retail experience desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bread and cookies for service.
• Maintain food storage and prep areas per health standards.
• Comply with Food Code of Practice and safety procedures.
• Operate the till and assist with deliveries as needed.
• Monitor stock levels and check in deliveries.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
• Maintain a neat personal presentation in Subway uniform.
• Deliver high-quality service and meet customer needs.

We have several Sandwich Artist positions available at the following subway store:

Subway Cooma, NSW - Brand new shop opening soon.

• We are looking for 10 new part‑time team members.
• High school students (Year 10, 11 and 12) are welcome to apply.

Shifts Schedule

• Morning staff
• Day/Lunch staff
• Evening shift

Lots of room for growth and training provided.

Previous experience in food preparation, retail sales and/or customer service is desirable but not essential because you will receive full training and undertake various University of Subway courses. What’s more important is a winning attitude. If you’re currently working in retail or in a restaurant, perhaps you are studying or have recently graduated and are looking to start a career in the food industry. This could be the perfect opportunity for you!

• Food preparation including bread and cookie baking
• Ensure food storage and preparation areas are maintained according to Health & Safety and Audit standards
• Comply with Food Code of Practice
• Till operator
• Monitoring stock levels
• Checking in deliveries

• Follow security & safety procedures
• Maintain a safe working environment for employees and customers
• Maintain high personal presentation in the provided uniform to meet the Subway brand and customer expectations

• Deliver a high standard of service when dealing with products, sales and catering for customer needs.

As a Sandwich Artist you will serve and add value to customer needs in an efficient and friendly manner. In this role you will promote subway brand awareness and ensure hygiene standards are met.
