Job summary

Subway Australia is hiring Sandwich Artist®s for several stores in Geelong area. High school students are welcome to apply and training is provided. Roles include morning, day/lunch, and evening shifts with opportunities for growth within one of Australia’s largest Subway groups.

Previous experience is desirable but not essential; emphasis is on a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and delivering quality service. Training courses and career pathways are offered to help you progress.

Qualifications

• Desirable but not essential: experience in food preparation, retail sales or customer service.
• Full training and Subway University courses provided.
• Winning attitude and readiness to start a career in the food industry.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation including bread and cookie baking.
• Maintain food storage and preparation areas according to Health & Safety and Audit standards.
• Comply with Food Code of Practice.
• Operate till.
• Monitor stock levels and check deliveries.
• Complete daily and weekly cleaning.
• Follow security and safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe working environment and high personal presentation in Subway uniform.
• Work as a team member.
• Deliver high standard of service for products, sales and catering to customer needs.

High school students (Year 10, 11, 12) are welcome to apply.

Shifts Schedule

• Morning staff
• Day/Lunch staff
• Evening shift

Previous experience in food preparation, retail sales and/or customer service is desirable but not essential because you will receive full training and undertake various University of Subway® courses. What’s more important is a winning attitude. If you’re currently working in retail or in a restaurant, perhaps you are studying or have recently graduated and are looking to start a career in the food industry.
