Job summary

The Salvation Army Australia Warrnambool Salvos Store is seeking talented, values-driven Sales Assistants to support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations and deliver an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members.

You will assist with retail sales, donation prep, pricing, merchandising and exceptional customer service while maintaining store standards and safety. A rolling roster including weekends and multiple local locations is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales is preferred but not essential.
• Strong customer service skills are essential.
• Demonstrated alignment with values (integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, diversity).
• Energetic and hands-on with good communication skills.
• Willingness to work weekends and across multiple retail locations.

Responsibilities

• Retail sales and operation of Point-of-Sale devices.
• Collect, sort and price donations in store.
• Assist in development and execution of visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service in-store.
• Display stock in departments following policy and procedure.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work-related activities.

About The Role

Warrnambool Salvos Store are seeking talented, values-driven Sales Assistants to support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations and provide an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members.

Number Of Positions Available

1

We have 3 permanent, part-time roles available.

• 30.40 hours per week. Roster Monday -Thursday
• 13 hours per week. Roster is midweek and may include Saturdays
• 12 hours per week. Roster is midweek and may include Saturdays

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Retail General Industry Award, Level 3.

You Will Assist With

• Retail sales and operation of Point-of-Sale devices.
• Collecting, sorting and pricing donations in store.
• Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Provide exceptional Customer Service.
• Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures.
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work-related activities.

About You

• Demonstrated experience in retail sales, while highly regarded, is not essential.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Genuine passion and proven ability to deliver outstanding results in a rewarding, complex retail environment.
• Alignment with the values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
• High energy, hand-on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibly to work a rolling roster including weekends and preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area.
