Job summary

UNSW Rural Clinical Campuses seeks a Technical Officer to support teaching and research laboratories at Port Macquarie. This fixed-term, part-time role (21 hours/week) focuses on high-quality technical support, WHS compliance, and efficient lab operations.

You will work with staff and students to prepare labs, train users on equipment, and help deliver practical components of the medical education program at UNSW Rural campuses. The role reports to the campus Administrative Officer.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through education, training or experience.
• Biomedical Sciences knowledge with teaching laboratory experience.
• Ability to setup, test and troubleshoot practical components for classes.
• Provide induction and training for staff and students on equipment.
• Maintain safe operations and document procedures.
