Beacon Lighting is seeking a Part-Time Payroll Officer to join our Payroll Team in Nunawading. This 0.6 FTE role supports end-to-end payroll processing, maintains employee data and ensures compliance with policies and legislative requirements.

You will work in a collaborative Payroll and HR team with hybrid working, on-site parking and a supportive environment within a growing Australian business.

Formación

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Payroll Officer role or similar.
• Experience within a retail environment is highly regarded.
• Sound knowledge of payroll practices, processes and procedures.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret payroll reports and identify discrepancies.
• Intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently support employees and managers.

Responsabilidades

• Support the operation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the payroll system, including employee data management for new starters, transfers, promotions and terminations.
• Assist with the processing of fortnightly payroll, ensuring timesheets, leave applications and employee information are accurate and discrepancies are resolved.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation to support a compliant and auditable payroll process.
• Contribute to month-end and year-end payroll activities, including reporting, reconciliations and statutory obligations such as payroll tax and year-end reporting.
• Support the preparation and processing of employee incentive payments in line with company policies.
• Provide guidance and support to managers and employees regarding payroll processes, including timesheets and leave approvals.
• Manage payroll inbox queries and provide timely responses to employees and managers.
• Assist with system administration and access, including ADP and T2W.
• Prepare and maintain payroll reports and assist with ad hoc reporting requirements.
• Support payroll projects, process improvements and other administrative activities across the broader Payroll and HR function.
