Job summary

Potentia Litigation, a boutique commercial litigation firm in North Sydney, NSW, is seeking a motivated Paralegal to join our growing team. This part-time, on-site role supports our principal solicitor in commercial litigation matters by preparing and formatting legal documents, assisting with court filings, and organizing case files.

You will conduct legal and factual research, review and summarise documents, maintain matter timelines, manage correspondence with external parties, and help

Qualifications

• Studying or completed a Law degree in Australia
• 1 years' experience working at a law firm, ideally with exposure to commercial litigation or related practise areas (preferred but not required)
• Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting, formatting, and filing court and client documents
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally
• Solid Research capabilities for legal, regulatory, and factual investigations supporting litigation matters
• Attention to detail in document review, including identifying key information, inconsistencies, and risks
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site in North Sydney and maintain confidentiality and professional ethics
• Proficiency in using legal databases, Microsoft, Teams, etc (preferred but not required)

Responsibilities

• Preparing and formatting legal documents, assisting with court filings, and organizing case files and evidence
