Job summary

City of Canada Bay Council is seeking a creative Marketing Officer to support marketing and communications for three recreation centres in Rhodes, Concord and Five Dock. This part-time role (21 hours per week) requires regular centre attendance and school hours consideration.

You will develop content calendars, create social posts, EDMs, visuals and promotional materials, monitor performance, and collaborate with the Communications team to align with council branding.

Qualifications

• A degree in Marketing, Communications or similar, or 2 years’ experience in marketing, communications, digital marketing or a related field.
• Strong social media content creation and community engagement skills.
• Excellent written communication and copywriting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create, scheduling and manage content across social media channels for Council’s three recreation centres.
• Develop content calendars aligned with programs, events and seasonal priorities.
• Produce engaging image, video and written content in line with branding.
• Create and distribute monthly EDMs.
• Monitor and analyse social media, website and email marketing performance.
