Job summary

Catholic Healthcare's St Catherine's Bathurst campus in NSW is seeking a Lifestyle Assistant to support residents through social activities, outings and daily connections. You’ll help design and deliver engaging programs that promote independence, friendship and wellbeing while providing compassionate support during events and outings.

The successful candidate will hold a Certificate III or IV in Leisure and Health (or equivalent), have strong communication skills, and be committed to respecting

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Leisure and Health or equivalent is required.
• Experience in similar role desirable.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to build respectful relationships with residents and families.
• Willingness to obtain Police Check and NDIS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Encourage resident choice, independence and participation in activities.
• Assist in designing and delivering engaging lifestyle programs.
• Create events and experiences connecting residents with community and volunteers.
• Provide direct resident support during activities and outings.
• Build positive relationships and promote an inclusive environment.
• Work safely and support colleagues in a respectful team culture.
