Job summary

Egis is seeking a part-time Legal Counsel or Law Clerk to join its Legal, Ethics & Compliance team supporting Australian and New Zealand projects. The role covers contract reviews, compliance and risk management, with training on legal issues for the broader business.

Opportunities exist to work on major projects, disputes and insurance matters across Melbourne, Sydney and Newcastle offices. Flexible hours in a 3-month contract, 5-15 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Law degree required or equivalent
• 0–2 years PQE preferred
• Experience with contract reviews and negotiations is advantageous
• Ability to work across multiple offices and teams in Australia

Responsibilities

• Conduct contract reviews and negotiations to support business operations
• Provide legal operations support across compliance, risk, and regulatory matters
• Deliver ad hoc legal training to business teams
• Support senior lawyers on various legal matters
• Offer clear, solution-focused legal advice to internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
