Job summary

Aspire Early Education – Thornhill Park is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher for maternity leave cover from December 2026 to July 2027. The role is based in the 3-year-old Kindergarten room and requires delivering a VEYLDF-aligned program, with a focus on play-based learning and school readiness.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent), current VIT (provisional or full), and at least 2 years’ experience with 3–5 year olds, plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education and VIT registration (provisional or full)
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Kindergarten Teacher
• Experience with 3–5 year olds and behaviour support
• Strong understanding of the EYLF and contemporary best practices
• Strong curriculum knowledge and compliance awareness
• Confident, reflective and relational teaching style
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Genuine passion for children’s learning, development and wellbeing
• Team-focused approach and collaboration with educators and Centre Leadership
• Current First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a high-quality Kindergarten program aligned with VEYLDF.
• Create engaging learning experiences that support children's development, wellbeing and school readiness.
• Build positive and respectful relationships with children, families and fellow educators.
• Maintain flexibility to work across operating hours 6:30 am to 6:30 pm with rotating shifts.
• Based in the 3-year-old Kindergarten room.
• Provide maternity cover from December 2026 to July 2027.
