Job summary

Brand's Pharmacy Services Pty Ltd – Rockhampton QLD is seeking a Rockhampton-based hospital pharmacist to join our Mater Hospital team, working primarily in the hospital/clinical space with exposure to IVF and ophthalmology specialties.

The role is genuine part-time with up to 24 hours per week, plus additional shifts. We offer hands-on clinical training and a stable local position rather than locum work.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance.
• Based in Rockhampton or willing to be — this is a local, ongoing role.
• Curiosity about hospital pharmacy, even without prior hospital experience.
• Strong communication with hospital staff and patients.
• Professional approach and commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Ward rounds and patient medication reviews.
• Hospital discharge medication counselling and summaries.
• Maintain ward imprest (stock) requirements.
• Provide drug information to nursing and medical staff.
• Specialised IVF medication supply and counselling (training provided).
• Ophthalmology prescriptions and patient education (training provided).
• Some community pharmacy dispensing and patient counselling as part of the broader role.
